Earlier this year, we shared with you our plans to refurbish the Enham Trust Resource Centre starting this Autumn. This is part of our wider plans to make sure the Resource Centre continues to provide an inclusive and accessible space that meets the needs of customers and colleagues.

We are excited to announce that the work is confirmed to be starting in November. In order for this work to take place, the Resource Centre will be temporarily closed from Sunday 2 November 2025. The work is scheduled to complete in April next year when the Resource Centre will reopen.

We appreciate that this is a slightly longer lead time than initially forecast. Since our update earlier this year, plans have evolved with many more exciting improvements now added to the programme of works which we look forward to sharing with you soon. We will continue to ensure minimal disruption to the service you receive and have put temporary plans in place to support this.

Please be mindful that for the duration of the closure, customers will not be able to drop in to the Resource Centre in person. This includes the Choices activities space and Hub Café spaces as these areas will also be closed temporarily, and activities relocated. We appreciate that some customers have visited us at the Resource Centre in the past, and we want to reassure you that support will still be available throughout the refurbishment.

Our phone lines will remain open as usual, so you can continue to contact us in the normal way. For housing related queries, please call 01264 345837 or for repairs, please call 01264 324917. For anything else Enham related, please call 01264 345 800. If you have a housing-related issue that can’t be resolved over the phone, we’ll arrange an appointment or home visit to make sure you get the support you need.

Temporary plans for our services

Choices and Radio Enham

Our Choices activities sessions will continue to be provided during the refurbishment and will be relocated to either the Sports Hall or Oasis building, dependent on the nature of the activity and number of attendees. Choices customers have already received an updated timetable detailing session locations, which will also be published on our website in due course. Please speak to a member of the team if you have not received a copy of the timetable.

Radio Enham will be located in Carpenters Cottage for the duration of the works, and we have already spoken with our DJs and volunteers about this space. For further information regarding Radio Enham’s temporary home, please speak to a member of the team.

Care and Support

Our Care and Care at Home colleagues currently based at Enham Trust’s Resource Centre offices will be based out of Carpenters Cottage throughout the refurbishment and will be available to support with care related enquiries as usual.
