On Saturday 29 November, we gathered with our supporters and the local community to kick off the festive season and celebrate our annual village Christmas lights switch on.

Landale Wilson Hall was buzzing with various Christmas themed game stalls, including Ball or Brussell, Jingle Jackpot, plus the return of our ever-popular Bottle Stall and more. Visitors also enjoyed browsing our gifting stall and taking part in our Christmas crafts, creating their own festive lanterns. As the afternoon’s activities took place, DJ Disco Pete filled the hall with all the very best festive tunes, providing a merry atmosphere for all to enjoy.

We were delighted to welcome special guest Santa Claus to join in the celebrations. He took residence in a magical Christmas tree grotto and spent time with all the families who came along to see him to share their Christmas wish lists.

The Christmas cheer continued outside the hall with sales of our very own, locally grown Christmas trees and handmade Christmas wreaths.

13 lucky winners bagged themselves some fantastic prizes in our raffle draw, including a stunning Le Creuset casserole dish, Christmas hampers, days out vouchers and much more.

We then gathered around the village Christmas tree outside the hall, as Santa led the official countdown for the village Christmas lights switch on, illuminating the tree with beautifully coloured Christmas lights.

The evening drew to a close with uplifting and inspiring performances from the Enham E Major Choir and Andover Town Band, as we enjoyed tucking into delicious mince pies and mulled wine, courtesy of the Enham Alamein Parish Council.
