We are absolutely thrilled to have secured government and charitable funding to upgrade our enterprise workspaces and support more disabled people to get into work.

Enham Trust supports disabled people to find meaningful employment, develop their skills and boost their confidence. We provide paid employment opportunities to many disabled people through our social enterprises, including Enham 3PL, which is part of a longer-term pathway to employment in the wider community.

The funding we have received will make our social enterprise workspace more accessible and a more comfortable place for people to work in, with ergonomic furniture, adjustable pallet trollies and a new motorised conveyor belt.

A total of £42,253.94 was secured by various charitable trusts, foundations and funders in support of this project, of which £16,250 was received from the UK government through the UK Rural England Prosperity Fund.

These improvements will not only help sustain current operations, but it will also enable the service to grow and meet ever-increasing demand, allowing more people to find work and access work experience opportunities.

Enham’s Director of Operations, Sara Bradbury, explains the positive impact this will have for the social enterprise and the wider disabled community:

“With this potential for growth and through our Strive programme, we are now advertising for additional supported employment opportunities. We are really looking forward to providing even more employment opportunities for disabled people to showcase their talent and exercise their right to work

“It’s such an important service and opportunity that can make a real lasting difference to people’s lives and we are extremely proud of the part we play in each individual’s journey, be it finding work here at Enham or securing a job elsewhere.”

Cllr Phil North visited Enham Trust to see this impact first-hand:

"It was great to visit the Enham Packaging and Logistics facility and see first-hand the positive impact of the £16,250 grant we awarded from the UK Government as part of the Rural England Prosperity Fund scheme. The new equipment is already making a tangible difference — enhancing productivity, improving working conditions, and creating more opportunities for local disabled people.

“This is exactly the kind of project the fund is designed to support: one that delivers economic growth while also making a meaningful social impact. I’m pleased that we’ve been able to help Enham Trust expand its operations and look forward to seeing the facility continue to grow in the years ahead."
