In the autumn, we will be refurbishing our Resource Centre which includes the Hub Café and Choices Activities Centre.

We’d like to hear your thoughts on how our customer spaces can be improved and how we can best ensure the service you receive runs smoothly during the works.

We are at the early stages of planning for this work however would like to provide you with as much information as we have at this time to help inform your feedback.

Our plans

We aim to start the work in September and this is likely to last approximately 12 to 14 weeks, subject to contractor selection and their plans.

Initially, work will focus on ensuring our basic infrastructure is brought up to date – things like electrics, hot water, windows and ventilation. We will then move onto decoration, flooring and furniture.

Whilst we will put plans in place to minimise disruption to services, there are some temporary changes to be expected for the duration of the work.

Our customer spaces including the Hub Café and Choices Activities Centre will likely need to close for a period of time to keep our colleagues and customers safe. We will do our best to reopen customer spaces as soon as possible and work closely with our contractors to minimise disruption to Radio Enham, Choices and the Discovery Centre, such as by finding alternative locations to best support planned activities where suitable.

Any spaces impacted will be communicated to you in advance so everyone can be supported during these temporary changes. We will better inform this once our programme of works is confirmed.
